*Fraud and scam warning*
It has been brought to our attention that a number of scams are currently being used by criminals in the UK involving agricultural equipment. The scam involves using a pre-paid mobile phone with false name and address details to advertise either stolen or non-existent equipment. The unsuspecting buyer ends up handing over money for goods that they never receive.
While we are confident that no such scams have taken place on Munie.com we urge people to use their common sense when looking to buy used vehicles and equipment and to do as much research into the equipments background as possible.
We have a number of security features in place to help us identify potential suspect items. Our systems are constantly monitored and any items highlighted as suspicious are investigated and suspended if necessary. As per our standard terms and conditions users found to be engaged in fraudulent activity will be banned from the website and their details passed to the relevant authority.
Tips to help prevent fraud:
· Use our FTA inspection service to get equipment checked independently
· Use our HPI check service to verify if vehicles are stolen, on finance or have been an insurance write-off
· If applicable ask the seller for a serial number and check it with the manufacturer
Remember, genuine sellers are trying to sell that piece of equipment so should have no concerns over supplying any information you ask for.
While Munie.com plays no part in transactions between buyers and sellers and accepts no liability in disputes between buyers and sellers we are committed to providing a safe trading environment for our members.
If you spot any suspicious activity or items please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team immediately.
It's that time of year again, show time, with a whole host of exhibitions and shows now vying for our attention. Last week it was the turn of Futuresource, the CIWM's sustainability event held over 3 days at Londons ExCel.
As usual the industry turned out in force all hoping the show would build on last years success and prove that moving the show away from Paignton really was the way forward.
There was a plethora of new products and innovations on show for visitors and delegates to see.

This year Munie.com focussed on asset remarketing and the worldwide audience at its disposal. Munie really is an essential tool for any fleet or transport manager to use to manage their defleet process.
With live demonstrations on the stand it was the perfect opportunity for visitors to come and see for themselves how Munie works and the considerable benefits to using an online service to manager the defleet process. Full details can be found at www.munie.com
On a more light-hearted note there was also a Nintendo Wii Truck Racing competition held over the 3 days. The rules were simple, drive a big truck round the circuit quicker than anyone else and win a prize.

Congratulations go to Matt Atherton who is now the proud owner of a Nintendo DS thanks to a lap time of just over 44 seconds!
Next up for Munie.com is the Recycling & Waste Management Show at Birmingham's NEC in September. Come and see us in the outside area (stand number OA135) and learn more about what we do as a group and we can help your business.
Along with an all new website we also have a number of new services available to our members. The most significant of these is the fleet disposal service we now offer.
If you are a fleet manager, asset manager, lease company, bank or finance house and you have responsibility for disposing of large numbers of vehicles we can now help. From storage to repair and refurbishment we can offer a full remarketing service.
